The Compliance Report is a report available from Informa's D&B International. This report does not enlarge the range of Risk Reports, but forms a new product category called Compliance.
On 30 April 2010 came into force in Spain a law (10/2010 of 28 April) for the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing, which incorporates into Spanish laws the content of the Directive 2005/60/EC.
Under this Act, financial institutions and other companies in various sectors, have the obligation of verifying if their clients (both individuals and legal entities) are on any sanctions list.
The Compliance Report uses data from INFORMA D&B's database and other companies that form the Worldwide Network, as well as from other sources not used so far (sanctioning bodies, stock exchange information...), and that may change from one country to another.
The Compliance Report includes:
- Identification and Summary
- Country information
- Check Company and Managers in Sanctions Lists
- Summary of the Company
- Stock Market Listing
- Financial Information
- Corporate Structure
- Current Managers
Although the Compliance Report is available for all Informa users with access to D&B International, the product is aimed to those companies that have the legal obligation to check the background of their clients: Banks, savings banks and financial institutions in general. As well as to other market segments, such as law and audit firms, casino, real estate companies, etc.
