Functions

INFORMA is a state-owned trading company (sociedad mercantil estatal) with no public-interest functions, purposes, or public aid. Its registered activity is of a private nature. INFORMA is a company specialising in the design, development, marketing, distribution, and export of all types of computer applications, with a focus on the processing and analysis of business, financial, commercial, and sectoral information. Its registered activity includes explicitly the creation and implementation of databases, especially those containing economic and financial information, used for both its own purposes and those of third parties..

Applicable Legislation

INFORMA is governed by the provisions contained in the Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2010, of 2 July, Approving the consolidated text of the Spanish Corporate Enterprises Act..

As a state-owned trading company (sociedad mercantil estatal), since October 2016 and in virtue of Article 111.1 a) of Spanish Law 40/2015, of 1 October, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, INFORMA is governed by the provisions of Spanish Law 9/2017, of 8 November, on Public Sector Contracts regarding suppliers, as well as by the provisions of the Regulatory Instruction on Relations with Business Companies of the Equity Group of the Directorate-General for State Assets in its updated version of February 2023.

Maximum amount of allowances

Allowances for attending INFORMA's Board of Directors meetings are governed by the provisions of the Order issued by the Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Finance on 8 January 2013, which sets the maximum compensation for attending Board of Directors meetings of state-owned trading companies.
